So. Rotary just decided that I'm no longer allowed to go on the round island trip because I missed two other Rotary events. Ohmigods. It's just because it was two in a row, as I'm fairly positive no-one has gone to ALL of them. Also, it's a pretty stupid reason to keep someone from going, if they have an otherwise clean record. I'm not the one going out to clubs every day and getting drunk/sleeping around/smoking/doing drugs/whatever.
But you know what, Rotary? If you don't let me go on the trip... So what? I'll take my goddamned money back, and immediately go to the nice apartment I found today. :3 The money for that trip will easily pay for the month my mom isn't already planning to cover.
Or, even more alternatively, it'll just pay for my upgraded ticket back home :3

God, I hate the people 'in charge' here.
And if you don't get the title, you are clearly not an exchange student in Taipei, Taiwan, in the year 2008-2009, in this district. And for that, you are blessed.

On to the good news, however; my friend and his girlfriend helped me look for an apartment today. We only actually /looked/ at one, but it was nice, and we already know it's fairly safe since another exchange kid's family stayed there for two weeks when they were visiting. It's more like a condo, or a pimped-out hotel, really.
The room is small, and has no fridge, but the bed is comfy, they said they could provide me with a TV, the internet-in-room fee is not that much, and the fucking SHOWER, dudes. IT'S A FUCKING MASSAGE SHOWER. I swear to take pictures of the shower if I end up there.
Downstairs, there's a karaoke room, and a private theater that you can book and invite up to 23 friends, and a free-internet business center.
In the basement, there is a pool, sauna, gym, billiards tables, ping pong tables, and FREE F*CKING MASSAGE CHAIRS. PLUS hot coaches. SHIT DUDE.
Also, RIGHT across the street is a pretty decent vegetarian restaurant, that serves my favorite drink (passion fruit shaved ice... drink XD), and of course two 7-11's.
It's just a 10 minute walk (or maybe even less XD) to Taipei 101.
And pets are allowed (hmmm... I wonder if I could bring a pet back from Taiwan to the US.... ;333)
