Can I go home now?

Hahaha... no seriously it sucks xD College is no different from freakin' high school. Heck, half the kids here probably went to my same school (Okay that's an overstatement...). But seriously.
I mean, I've made a few friends but not like... I don't see myself being those 'lifelong' friends people keep saying you're supposed to make in college. Also, the people in my classes don't seem likely victims either. I can't wait for Friday so I can go home and not have to eat breakfast/lunch/dinner by myself in a big old dining hall full of people

I mean, my 3D design class seems like it'll be cool... but most of those are much older adult-types who came back to pursue a dream or something xD;;

My roommate's okay but... again, not even someone I'd hang out with for a while. The only time we 'hang out' is when we're both in the room anyway. So... yeah.

Time for some of those 'great friends and first loves' people keep talking about ._O seriously. I'm ready, I promise xD

Haha, well, I didn't experience most of that overblown stuff either. A lot of roommates were 'good roommates' because we were nice to each other, but they were gone a lot. It was in my last year and a half that I made really good friends with my roommates. As far as eating alone in a dining hall, I never really had to do that. I could eat alone in my dorm because I had a microwave, and sometimes roomies would come out to chow down, too. : P

Just.. relax, join clubs, do your work and have a good time. xD Those older folks can be fun, too- a lot of the good in-class friends I made were older than me. I remember one, Kathleen, who had to be older than my mom, but she was really cool.

Best part about college? I could do whatever the hell I wanted without my mom telling me to go to bed because she can hear a pin drop at night. xD

Haha... we don't have a microwave/fridge in our dorm. So... Also, I've already got three meals a day for the semester already taken care of that I have to have in the dining halls xD;

I want to join at least... three clubs that I saw the first day they were showing off their stuff. I was supposed to get an email but that hasn't happened yet...

xD As far as the mom thing... well... I've already been living out from under my mom's rules for a year now. Taiwan, and then she wasn't here but maybe three weeks since I've been back in the US xD

I hope it gets better but... I dunno xD; I really wish I could make some good friends. It sucks not having people to hang out with, when you're done-done with classes by 1pm.

Huh- if you have a flier or something of theirs, maybe there's contact information on it?

xD! Oh well, I'm sure you'll have fun anyway, even without the 'no mom/parental unit!' relief. You'll make friends soon! Just be talkative in class, you know? xD Maybe you'll find someone there to be good friends with~

Give it time

Problem with making friends in college though is that at the beginning you'll likely end up having classes with entirely different sets of people each term since they're so many different majors. And that's where you get 'term friends' who you hang out with that term and study for that class with and then forget about later o.o

But once you get more into your major classes and it's the same group of people each term, it's easier to make long lasting friendships.

Also, at work hah. Work friends are great.

As for roommates...good luck o.o

Haha... I dun even have a major yet x.x; I'm just taking whatever I found interesting that was still open. There's also like... a secret 'Chinese' class I want to get into... but I don't think that's gunna happen since I need to do that by tomorrow but it's gunna require a lot of searching and walking and like.. I'm leaving right after class to go home xD;;

I needa get a job xD
